Three Internationals SC Players Called Up for National Team Training Camps

The U.S. Under-18 and Under-19 Women’s National Teams will kick off their 2018 programming with concurrent training camps running from Feb. 10-17 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.  Loren Sefcik will be part of the U-18 Women’s National Team camp, while Sydney Dawson and Olivia Petit will both join the U-19 Women’s National Team camp.

“Once again, we are thrilled to have three of our members invited to Youth National Team camps,” Internationals SC Founder, President, and Director of Coaching Zdravko Popovic commented. “The combined U18/19 camp is a unique event for them and I have no doubt that they are prepared and will make the most of the opportunity. Petit, Sydney, and Loren continue to set their standards high and are people who the younger generations of players coming through the club can look up to.”

For the U-18 WNT, head coach Jaime Frias has also called up 24 players, with four born in 1999 and the remainder in 2000. In the U-18 camp are six college players and 18 youth club players.

U-19 WNT head coach Keri Sarver has called up 24 players, 19 of whom are in college, while five are still playing youth club.  Seven players were born in 1998 and the remainder in 1999.

All 48 players in this camp are age-eligible for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup should they earn themselves a future call-up to Jitka Klimkova’s U-20 side as it prepares for the World Cup in France this August. The age cut-off for the World Cup is players born on or after January 1, 1998.
