Internationals Soccer Club is proud to announce the college commitments of 13 players. Additional Internationals SC players are still uncommitted and should be announcing their decisions in the coming weeks.
“It's a good sign of growth for our club,” Internationals SC Director of Coaching Keri Sarver commented. “It's a sign of that we're committing resources to retaining players longer, and it's a good sign of their commitment to their own development. The majority of those players have been with us for five-plus years, with the longest being 11 years. So that's a pretty unique situation. And whether it's two years or 11 years and players in between, we have players that are committed to their development and committed to what they're going to do after they graduate high school when they move on from our program. It's just another proud moment for us.”
The 2019 class, which was the club’s largest graduation class in history, included a total of 23 players. This class will join over 350 ISC players that have competed at the collegiate level.
“If you look at the past generations each one of them basically walks into the next challenge so prepared that the transition for them is easy,” Internationals SC Founder, President, and Director of Coaching Zdravko Popovic added. “From everything that we do in the club culture, like discipline, learning the life skills, and life management, just carries on with them so their transition is smooth and as a byproduct, they're well prepared for the next level.”
