State Cup Success for Internationals SC

Internationals Soccer Club had a week filled with rain and postponed games in the 2019 Ohio North State Cup. Internationals SC 2006 Red’s first game against CSAIU Pre DA on Saturday at Pacesetter Park ended in a 1-1 tie. Due to thunderstorms its remaining two games were postponed to later in the week, where Thursday night saw ISC beat Greater Toledo FC 7-0, and followed the result with a win via forfeit due to Pacesetter Ville Black not being able to field a team.  ISC advanced to the semi-final and will play the winner of Cleveland FC and Pacesetter Villa Red at Sports Force on Saturday morning.

Internationals SC 2005 Red managed to play two of its three games during the State Cup preliminary round and had convincing 3-0 wins over Upper90 North FC and Ohio Extreme FC Lima.  Although conditions were slippery underfoot, ISC managed to control both games and come away with two strong victories.  Due to the earlier win, and the third game being cancelled due to the weather, ISC advance to Saturday’s State Cup semi-final where the team will meet AW 2005 Girls Blue.

Internationals SC 2009 Red won their first preliminary game 8-2 over Pacesetter 09 Villa Rd. One more win in the group stage and they will advance to the State Cup semi-final on Sunday.

Internationals SC 2008 Red won all three preliminary games by a combined score of 23-1. The team will advance to the State Cup semi-final on Saturday in Strongsville.
