Internationals SC Claims Championship at Erie Elite Challenge Cup

The Internationals Soccer Club U15 Blue team were crowed champions of the Erie Elite Challenge Cup this weekend at ErieBank Sports Park in Erie, PA. The team boasted an undefeated record of four wins against no losses or ties. In their dominant run to the title, ISC scored nine goals and conceded only one.

Saturday's first game against Erie Admirals was closely contested and the difference was two first-half goals and a key second-half save by goalkeeper Adri Lika, who played every minute of every game in goal. Saturday’s second game against STN NorthPenn started slowly and was 0-0 at the half. After halftime, ISC exploded for four goals and cruised to victory.

Sunday’s first game proved to be pivotal as a win by ISC against Croatia Juniors would wrap up the championship prior to their fourth game. Although only holding a one-goal lead at halftime, ISC again responded with an offensive outburst after halftime, scoring twice more to seal the victory and the championship. Game four against Canton United saw ISC’s offense net another three goals, including two after halftime, to earn the 3-1 victory and complete their perfect weekend.
